Ken
Ken was born in Brooklyn New York and raised on Long Island. After a year of college he entered the US Air Force where he served for 20 years on active duty and 13 years in the reserves. During his first assignment he met and married his wife Deanne at Countryside Christian Church in Wichita Kansas. They welcomed two children, a son Bryan (now married to Angie) and a daughter Shayna (now married to Matt Burchett) and now have four grandchildren (Sadie, Doug, Amaya, and Jacob). During his military career they were stationed at McConnell AFB in Wichita Kansas, Loring AFB in Limestone Maine, Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster Missouri and Moody AFB near Valdosta Georgia. During this time, Ken obtained Degrees in Electronics, Avionics, Social Psychology, and Human Resources and served overseas at Diego Garcia (a small island in the Indian Ocean), Kirkuk Iraq, Bagram, Kandahar and Jalalabad in Afghanistan. After retiring from the Air Force Ken moved to Branson West Missouri and works as a JROTC Instructor at Republic High School and a volunteer Firefighter in Stone County. Ken served as a Sunday School Teacher at the Base Chapel at Loring AFB Maine, and at First Christian Church of Knob Noster he was a Sunday School Teacher for High School Students, Youth Leader, Co-Treasurer, and first served as a Deacon and then an Elder. He has been a part of First Christian Church of Kimberling City since 2018.
